Illo Friday "Holiday"

This is a colored pencil drawing that adorned my Christmas letter this year. Merry Christmas everyone!

And a Happy New Year too!

Exactly What I Needed

Just found this wonderful article on cleaning up family computers (raise your hand if you haven't been tapped as the family computer geek at least once). The article, Geek to Live: How to fix Mom and Dad's computer, by Gina Tapani contains a pretty complete list of system clean up items complete with links and almost step-by-step directions.

I'm contemplating emailing the link to family members who've already said, "Maybe you could just take a look." Most likely I'll burn the CD and print out the article so I have it all in hand.

Illo Friday "Imagine" and SpeakUp! "Star"

I did a combo illustration—lazy or creative? You make the call.

I'd initially done this for Illo Friday "surprise", but it was too late. I think it applies well to "imagine", as in "Imagine poor Harvey's impending mysery at the hands of his closest friends."

More Christmas!

Christmas is drawing ever closer, and it has hit my house full-tilt. Here's what Christmas looks like in my house.

I do a light display in each window of my house (I have 6 of 'em). From the outside, it looks like there is a Christmas tree in every window. From the inside, they look a little like this.

Here's my tree in all its glory. Please note the cat on the right--he's about to pull back the blind and look out the window. He's very talented at that. I think the baby Jesus got smacked in the face by his tail a few times in the process--cat blasphemy.

Last weekend was cookie baking weekend. My oven and counters--primed and ready to bake.

I also did gingerbread cookies.

Two-Wheel Tidbits

Just because we're experiencing sub zero temps and Saturday night snowfalls doesn't mean the cycling world is hibernating.

There's a great photo essay of The Chi Cross Cup race that was held this past Sunday morning. You'll want to have a cup o' joe nearby as you look at these pics. This link will take you to a short story with a link to the slideshow at the bottom.

The Discovery Channel cycling team's first training camp in Austin has started (yep, that would indicate the start of the 2006 cycling season).

Thanks for reading!

Illo Friday "Blue"

Again... I'm sorry.

A "Small" Joke... Very Small

For Illustration Friday

I have no excuse. All I can say is I'm sorry, but I just couldn't help myself. And, quite frankly, I think I'd have to do it the very same way if I had it to do all over again.
