Moleskine Exchange Started

I've started a Sketch exchange with Dad. My drawing of a dragonfly started us off. It stopped by a few summers ago, and very kindly hung out on a piece of bamboo that was propping up my summer tomatoes. It allowed me to take several photos...I'd had enough of shooting photos before it ever decided to fly away.

Christmas Clover

My Clover gift to myself is complete and framed. The drawing is temporarily residing on my mantelpiece. After Christmas I'll contemplate a permanent home.

Clover WIP 4

There is an intermediate WIP step (3) viewable in my Flickr photo stream. I was going to knock off drawing, and took a photo. Then I decided to keep going for a while longer, and had to take another.

The flash really reflects off the heavier graphite coverage...makes it look like I used something shiny for the shadows.

Evening Sketch

Can you say wonky? Meh. Still nice to put pencil to paper.

I have now despoiled my newest sketchbook. My old 5.5x8" sketchbook has disintegrated at the binding, so I found a lovely new replacement.

Nice to draw on a page without rules for a change too.
