There is an intermediate WIP step (3) viewable in my Flickr photo stream. I was going to knock off drawing, and took a photo. Then I decided to keep going for a while longer, and had to take another.
The flash really reflects off the heavier graphite coverage...makes it look like I used something shiny for the shadows.
