Alaska in July Photos

Gathering for the Crow Pass Hike - July 20th

A look back from whence we'd come.

And they were off across the scree-strewn slopes to toss the One Ring into the flames...

"Why so many pictures of the mountains, Nan?"
"Because while I was snapping photos, I also had time to catch my breath, and let my legs stop wobbling."

View along the Seward Highway.

I stopped at the Potter Marsh after the hike. The pictures below were taken around 7 p.m.—still looks and felt like the middle of the afternoon.

Alyeska Resort from the woods.

Thanks for stopping by!

Seeing your gorgeous pictures, I just want to cry because I missed it all! You really are gifted at photography. Maybe you can make a sketch from one of your pics. They're all gorgeous!
